Following information received from Crime Stoppers, Police arrested a 25-year-old male last night in Nightcliff.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said Police received information that the male, who was on bail for traffic, property and drug offences, was in a vehicle in the Nightcliff area.
“Police apprehended the vehicle at around 8:30 pm and charged the male passenger with breach of bail and possession of an implement to administer a dangerous drug.
“The 27-year-old female driver was charged with driving whilst unlicensed, driving an unregistered motor vehicle, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and driving a motor vehicle with the wrong plates.
“It is not a promising start to fatality free December however thanks to community members sharing information, it is one less dangerous vehicle on the road,” said Senior Sergeant Stringer.
