A 27-year-old man is to appear in the Darwin Magistrates today, following his arrest in relation to a domestic violence incident in The Narrows.

Detective Acting Superintendent Neil Hayes from the Sex Crimes Division said the alleged offender assaulted a 28-year-old woman earlier this month.

“The man was located in Casuarina yesterday and resisted Police during his arrest.”

He was charged with aggravated assault, make threats to kill and resist Police.

The man was remanded in custody to appear in court today.

Strike Force Viridian will continue to target domestic violence offenders.
