Aggravated Assault - Public Assistance Sought - Darwin

Police are seeking public assistance in relation to an aggravated assault which occurred on a charter boat moored at Stokes Hill Wharf this morning.

Detective Acting Sergeant Eric Curriez said three men boarded the boat at around 6am.

“The 59 year-old male owner of the boat woke to find the three men stealing alcohol from the vessel.

“The offenders assaulted the victim before fleeing the scene in a red Ford Falcon sedan.

“The three males are to be of Caucasian appearance, two of the men are aged in the 20’s with long brown messy hair. The third man is of solid build with a beard.

“Police urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone with further information to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
