Detectives from the Northern Investigation Section have charged a 21-year-old man in relation to the aggravated assault of a 43-year-old man in Katherine yesterday.

Senior Constable Robert Engels said the offender allegedly assaulted the victim near the corner of Lindsay Terrace and Katherine Terrace at around 6:50pm.

“The offender was arrested by Police today and charged with aggravated assault and unlawfully cause serious harm.”

He has been remanded in custody and will appear in Katherine Magistrates Court on Thursday, 22 May.
