Three males aged 17, 18 and 19 and a 19 year old female will appear in court in relation to three assaults that occurred in Casuarina on Tuesday evening.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer from Strike Force Trident said the offenders have assaulted three victims in separate locations and attempted to steal from them.

“When approached the offenders fled and Police arrested two offenders and the Dog Operation Unit assisted in tracking and apprehending the additional two offenders.

They have been charged with a number of offences including:

Aggravated assault

Unlawfully Cause Serious Harm (x2)

Aggravated Robbery

Stealing

The 18 and 19 year old man will appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court today. The 17 year old male will appear at a later date and the female has been given a notice to appear.

“Some of the offending was caught on CCTV and further enquiries have identified two more offenders which have since been located and arrested.

“This is a good result for Police.  Let this be a warning, we will not tolerate thugs wandering the streets assaulting and robbing people,” Detective Senior Sergeant Stringer said.
