Katherine Police are calling on the public to assist with the investigation of a single vehicle crash which occurred yesterday afternoon.

Superintendent Megan Rowe said a 26-year-old female driver was travelling along Carson Drive away from Tindal RAAF base in a black Holden Astra at around 12:30pm when the crash occurred.

“It appears the woman has lost control of the vehicle and over corrected, causing it to leave the road and crash into a tree.

“The woman was flown to Royal Darwin Hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.

“Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.

“Police urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information to contact Police on 131 444.”
