Southern Investigation Detectives have charged a 12-year-old boy for allegedly unlawfully entering the Santa Teresa Police Station and stealing a Police vehicle.

Detective Superintendent Brent Warren said the youth was charged with a number of offences including:

Unlawful use of a motor vehicle

Unlawful entry

Stealing

Criminal damage

Trespass

Fail to stop

Drive unlicensed.

He has been remanded in custody to appear in Alice Springs Youth Justice Court on Wednesday 10 July.
