Unlawful Entries Arrests - Alice Springs

Alice Springs Police have made a series of arrests in relation to a number of unlawful entries and motor vehicle theft over the weekend.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Leith Phillips said Police arrested two men aged 26 and a 31-year-old man in relation to seven unlawful entries at the Alice Springs Golf Club from December 26.

“The three men have been charged with unlawful entry, criminal damage and stealing and have been remanded in custody.

“Police also arrested four female youths aged 13 and 14 after they unlawfully entered a store in the Todd Mall and stole a number of clothing items at around 11:00pm on January 5. All items were recovered and two of the youths have been referred to Youth Diversion.

“In a separate incident Police arrested two male youths aged 15 and 16 in relation to the unlawful entry of a residence in East Side on January 2.

“It appears the offenders have returned to the residence on December 6 and stolen a Holden Ute. The vehicle was recovered at Trucking Yard Camp that same morning.

“The two youths were arrested a short time later and charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property and unlawful possession.

“Police would like to thank members of the public who have assisted Police in targeting these offenders.” Detective Active Senior Sergeant Phillips said.
