Two Youths Arrested - Darwin

Members from Strike Force Trident have arrested a further two male youths aged 13 and 17 in relation to a $60,000 crime spree in Darwin.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said the 13-year-old was allegedly involved in the theft of a Mini Cooper and electronic goods, sporting gear and alcohol from a residence in Alawa on 12 May.

“He was arrested yesterday and charged with aggravated unlawful entry with intent to commit an offence, stealing, aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle, drive motor vehicle unlicensed, stealing from a motor vehicle and a range of traffic offences.

“Strike Force Trident also arrested a 17-year-old in relation to the theft of two vehicles in Nakara on 8 May and a Mazda from a residence in Karama on 16 May.

“Police alleged the youth was also involved in the theft of $3,000 worth of electronic items from a residence in Malak on 7 May.

“He has been charged with stealing (x3), aggravated enter dwelling (x2), damage to property (x2), aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle, drive motor vehicle unlicensed and trespass on premises.”
