Detectives from Strike Force Trident have arrested two people following a crime spree across Darwin.
Detective Sergeant Mark Bland said an 18-year-old male and a 14-year-old female allegedly unlawfully entered six businesses and two residences in Darwin City, Woolner and the Northern Suburbs between 4 and 16 November.
“Police executed two search warrants at a residence in Anula and Winnellie on Saturday. Police recovered around $27,000 worth of stolen property including two scooters, nine laptops, four mobile phones and a number of electronic items.
“Police also located and seized two cannabis plants at the residence in Winnellie.”
The pair were arrested and charged with a number of offences including:
Aggravated unlawful entry
Stealing
Damage property
Trespass
Aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle
Possess dangerous drug.
The 18-year-old will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on 12 December 2013.
The 14-year-old will appear in Darwin Youth Justice Court on 3 December 2013.
