Trident Arrest Five Overnight - Darwin

Strike Force Trident Detectives arrested five males overnight, wanted in relation to a number of offences committed in Darwin, Palmerston and Casuarina.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said the males, aged 13-37, were allegedly involved in offences committed from June through to August this year.

“On 9 June a 37-year-old man allegedly unlawfully entered a car dealership in Stuart Park and attempted to steal a vehicle. The man was disturbed by responding security guards and fled the scene,” Detective Senior Sergeant Stringer said.

“A 13-year-old boy was arrested yesterday for his alleged involvement in the theft of an iPad, two sets of car keys and a Toyota Corolla on 6 July from a home in Durack.

“A 16-year-old is believed to have broken into a vehicle parked in Palmerston on 17 August and stolen an iPhone.

“Police arrested a 14-year-old male and a 16-year old male for their alleged involvement in the theft of approximately $1,000 from a store in Casuarina on 25 August. Both have been remanded in custody.

“Strike Force Trident Detectives will continue to take a zero tolerance approach to recidivist property crime offenders in our community.”

All five alleged offenders will appear in court at a later date.
