Three Arrested as Operation Lincoln Targets Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs

Police

Following arrests by Strike Force Lincoln Detectives, two members of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Gang are to appear in the Darwin Magistrate’s Court today, charged with drug offences.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Schiller, Officer in Charge of the Drug and Organised Crime Squad said the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Darwin Chapter, a 39-year-old Hells Angels member from Adelaide and a 32 year old Howard Springs man, were arrested at a restaurant on the Stuart Highway in Stuart Park yesterday afternoon.

“An 18-year-old female Hells Angels associate was arrested at the Darwin Airport yesterday, in possession of approximately 56g of crystalline methamphetamine,” Detective Senior Sergeant Schiller said.

“It is alleged all four were involved in a syndicate conveying crystalline methamphetamine from South Australia to Darwin. Over the weekend Detectives seized $37,000 in cash, a commercial quantity of crystal methamphetamine and a trafficable amount of cannabis from the syndicate.

“The arrested males face charges including supplying dangerous drugs, possession of tainted property and drug possession.”

“Strike Force Lincoln was established in 2011 to combat the involvement of OMCGs in drug and violence offences.

Currently the Sergeant-at-Arms from both the Hells Angels and Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs (OMCG) are in custody on separate drug charges.

“Detectives will continue to actively target these people and their links to drug supply and violence in the Territory.”

The 18-year-old woman will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court at a later date.
