Strike Force Halberd Update - Alice Springs

Police have made 123 arrests as part of a targeted approach to reduce domestic and family violence in Alice Springs.

Detective Acting Superintendent Peter Malley said Strike Force Halberd has been active in Alice Springs for nine weeks and during that time Police have cleared 289 domestic violence offences and served 74 Domestic Violence Orders.

“This dedicated Strike Force is working with other agencies to ensure there is improved support for victims so they don’t become victims again.

“Anyone who thinks they can get away with such cowardly violence can be confident they will be caught and brought to justice.”
