Stealing - Public Information Sought - Nightcliff

Police

Members from Strike Force Trident are investigating a stealing incident which occurred at a child care centre in Nightcliff over the weekend.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Matt Akers said the unknown offenders unlawfully entered the premises and stole play equipment from the play area some time between 15 and 16 June.

“The equipment is described as a large multi piece play set with a crawl tunnel that joins the two main climbing compartments. The play set is valued between $2,500 and $3,000.

“The offenders also stole three hanging pot plants and a number of small child size chairs.

“Police allege due to the size of the play equipment, it is likely more than one offender was involved to lift the items over the fence and onto a vehicle or trailer.

“Police urge anyone who may have information to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
