Major Crash Investigators are calling for public information following a serious crash on Bees Creek Road on Friday night, 11 October.

Acting Senior Sergeant Mark Casey said a Toyota Corolla was being driven inbound at about 7.30pm when the vehicle struck a mattress lying on the road.

“As a result of striking the mattress the 21 year-old driver has lost control of the vehicle before hitting a concrete culvert and rolling several times.

“The young man has suffered serious injuries and has been transferred to Royal Adelaide Hospital."

Acting Senior Sergeant Casey said Police were appealing for the owner of the mattress or any witnesses to how the mattress came to be on the road to please contact them on 131 444 or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
