Katherine Detectives and Uniform Officers are searching for an alleged violent offender who has been on the run from Police since September 2012 and is wanted for sex, drug, traffic and property offences.

Superintendent Megan Rowe said Police attended a property in Florina Road, Katherine and the male sighted Police and fled into the bushland surrounding the property.

“The areas of Florina, Cossack and Ivanoff Roads are all within the range of this man. Police have cordoned off the immediate vicinity.

“The offender is a 36-year-old male of Aboriginal appearance, 178cms tall, approximately 75 kilograms, slim to medium build. He was last seen wearing dark shorts, motorcycle boots and no shirt.

“House-holders in this area are urged to remain vigilant, secure their property (including vehicles) and contact Police on 000 if they sight him.”
