Crime Division Detectives are investigating the non suspicious death of a 17-year-old male in Arnhem Land overnight.

Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Board said a 17-year-old youth was located deceased in a billabong close to the family home at an outstation in Arnhem Land early this morning.

“Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the boy’s death, however at this time it is not being treated as suspicious.”

A file will now be prepared for the Coroner.
