Detectives from the Major Crime Squad and Southern Investigation Division have charged a man with murder in relation to the discovery of a man's body just north of Alice Springs on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old man was also charged with deprivation of liberty, criminal damage and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.  He has been remanded in custody.

Acting Commander James O’Brien, Crime and Specialist Support Command, said the investigation remained ongoing.
