A 52-year-old man is to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court this morning, charged with murder, following the death of a 34-year-old female.

Detective Superintendent Brent Warren from the Southern Investigations Division said the man has been in custody since the incident in Charles Creek Camp on Saturday afternoon.

“He was charged with murder and remanded in custody to appear in court today.”

No further information will be provided as the matter is now before the court.
