A 52-year-old man remains in custody and is assisting with enquiries following the death of a 34-year-old woman on Saturday.

Detective Sergeant Leith Phillips from the Southern Investigations Division said the incident occurred at around 4:30pm at Charles Creek in the suburb of Stuart.

“Detectives from the Southern Investigations Division and Major Crime Squad are currently investigating.

“At this time, no further information is available in relation to the incident.”
