Detectives from the Sex Crimes Unit have charged a 46-year-old man with a number of offences following a house raid in Palmerston.
Detective Sergeant Glenn Leafe said a search warrant was conducted on a home in Palmerston on Friday.
“Whilst at the residence members seized a number of computer hard drives and storage devices, believed to contain child abuse material,” Detective Sergeant Leafe said.
“Police also located a quantity of steroids and cannabis.”
He has been charged with a number of offences, including:
Sexual intercourse with a child under 16 (x4)
Indecent dealing with a child under 16 (x6)
Possess dangerous drug - Cannabis
Possess dangerous drug – Testosterone.
The man was bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court on 12 December 2013.
