Alice Springs Police are reminding people staying in hotel accommodation to lock their hotel rooms after a series of unlawful entries in the last day.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said Police responded to six incidents where hotel rooms had been unlawfully entered.

“Each of the rooms were unlocked at the time of the incident and a number of items were stolen. Police also received reports two vehicles parked at a hotel had also been stolen.

“It is important that people remain vigilant, even if they are staying in hotel accommodation and ensure all doors are locked and valuable items are kept out of sight at all times.

“Police urge anybody who may have witnessed the unlawful entries or suspicious activity, to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
