Further Arrests for Strike Force Trident - Darwin

Members from Strike Force Trident have arrested another two female youths in relation to a number of property related offences that occurred around Darwin on the weekend.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said the youths aged 13 and 15, in the company of three others, allegedly entered a home in Banksia Street, Nightcliff on Friday night.

“The youths are alleged to have stolen a quantity of alcohol and three vehicles, including a Holden Cruze, a Holden Commodore and a Nissan Navara,” Detective Senior Sergeant Stringer said.

“All three vehicles have now been recovered.

“The 13 and 15 year olds were located yesterday and have been charged with aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle and drive motor vehicle while unlicensed.

“The 15 year old was remanded in custody and the 13 year old was bailed to appear in the Darwin Youth Justice Court on Friday 22 February.”
