Alice Springs Police seized 26 firearms during a search warrant on a home south of Alice Springs.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said on Friday last week, Police conducted a search warrant on a home at Orange Creek Station, approximately 100km south of Alice Springs.

“During the search members located 18 assorted rifles and shotguns, seven pistols and revolvers and a semi automatic rifle,” Detective Senior Sergeant Malley said.

“A large quantity of ammunition was also located during the search.

“Investigations are continuing and a 59-year-old man is assisting with enquiries in relation to the matter.”
