The NT road toll has risen to 34 following a single vehicle rollover in Nhulunbuy this afternoon, claiming the life of a man in his 40s.

Territory Duty Superintendent Louise Jorgensen said the vehicle rollover on the Central Arnhem Road near the Latram River turn off was reported to Police at around 3:20pm.

“The exact circumstances surround the crash are still under investigation.

“The road toll for the same time last year stood at 44.”
