Northern Territory Police have seized a large quantity of explosive following a raid at a property in Marrakai.
Superintendent John Emeny said police executed a search warrant at the property following a domestic disturbance on Sunday.
“During the search Police located a detonating cord, boosters, power gel sticks, explosive cartridges, electric igniters as well as a less than trafficable quantity of cannabis and a quantity of ammunition.”
A 45-year-old man was arrested and charged with:
·Make threat to kill a person
·Possess/use firearm whilst unlicensed
·Possess unregistered firearm
·Fail to meet firearm storage requirements
·Possess explosives contrary to licence conditions
He will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on Wednesday 3 July 2013.
