A 73-year-old man has been charged with drug offences after Police executed a search warrant at a residence in Tennant Creek today.

Police located and seized approximately 190 small cannabis seedlings, 10 mature plants and a large quantity of cannabis seeds.

Officer in Charge of Tennant Creek Police Station, Senior Sergeant Des Green said this drug seizure is a good result for our community and highlights the tenacity the Tennant Creek Police.

He has been charged with:

Cultivate cannabis commercial quantity

Possess cannabis seeds.

He will appear in court at a later date.
