A 19-year-old man will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court this afternoon after he allegedly threatened a 19-year-old woman with a chainsaw.

Senior Sergeant David Wilson said the alleged incident occurred at a residence in Moulden at around 7pm Sunday 28 July.

“Police arrested the man a short time later in possession of a small amount of cannabis.”

He has been charged with:

Aggravated assault x 3

Possess schedule two drug – trafficable

Possess dangerous drug in a public place

Resist arrest.
