Northern Territory Police are searching for a man believed to have been taken by a crocodile at the Mary River today.

Watch Commander, Senior Sergeant Peter Lindfield said Police received reports at around 4pm, that the 24-year-old man was attacked by a crocodile while he was swimming.

“Officers from the Water Police Section and Territory Response Group are currently at the scene of the attack and are searching for the man and the crocodile.”

No further information is available at this time.
