Alice Springs Police are trying to locate an eight month old baby boy, who is believed to be suffering a medical condition and needs further care.

Senior Sergeant Melinda Edwards said the child and his mother left the Alice Springs Hospital yesterday afternoon.

“Police have been conducting patrols and searching Gillen Bore, Camel Camp, Arlparra, Six Mile Community at Ti Tree through the night and into this morning, as well as Trucking Yards and Walpiri Camps in Alice Springs,” Senior Sergeant Edwards said.

“We have concerns for the welfare of the little boy.

“Police urge family members to assist us in having this him returned quickly and safely so he can get the health care he needs.

“If you know the whereabouts of this little boy, or his 22-year-old mother, please contact Police immediately on 131 444.”
