Alice Springs Police are appealing for public assistance to find missing 36-year-old man, Dean Skennar.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said Mr Skennar was travelling from Western Australia to Queensland and was last seen travelling along the Barkly Highway from Tennant Creek on May 17.

“It is believed Mr Skennar was heading towards Mount Isa and had enough fuel to reach Winton. It is out of character for him not to contact anyone for this length of time.

“He is described as Caucasian, 192cm tall, light brown receding hair and slim build.

“He was driving a maroon 2012 Toyota LandCruiser utility with Western Australian number plates 1DUT 987.”
