Call for witnesses - Suspicious behaviour - Katherine

Katherine Police are calling for public assistance in regard to suspicious behaviour in vicinity of Katherine South Primary School on the morning of Tuesday, July 23.

Detective Senior Constable Mark Pettit from the Northern Investigation Section said that three children on their way to school were approached by a vehicle at approximately 7.40am.

“The car is described as a green, old model Ford Laser sedan or similar.  The driver was described as a Caucasian male wearing a NSW blues jersey and one of his top teeth was black.  There was a female with blonde hair and a pink top sitting in the front passenger seat.  There may have been another two or three people in the rear seats.

“Police are asking anyone who may have observed this vehicle or who have any information that may assist this investigation to please contact the Police Assistance Line on 131 444 or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
