Serious Crime Detectives are investigating an aggravated assault which occurred in Casuarina last week.

Detective Senior Sergeant Annette Cooper said the incident occurred on Thursday at around 8:20pm on Trower Road, near the intersection of Angelo Street.

“Two 16-year-old males were walking along Trower Road when they were approached by a white LandCruiser, several males exited the vehicle and assaulted the two victims,” Detective Senior Sergeant Cooper said.

“A 50-year-old male attempted to assist the victims and in doing so, was threatened by one of the offenders who had armed himself with a knife.

“Police urge any witnesses to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
