Bus Rollover – Alice Springs

Police are currently at the scene of a bus rollover on the Stuart Highway, approximately 128km south of Alice Springs.

Acting Superintendent Travis Wurst said the bus, which contained 13 occupants, was travelling north when it rolled at around 1:40pm today.

“Emergency Services from Alice Springs, Imanpa and Kulgera attended the scene,” A/Superintendent Wurst said.

“Two people received serious injuries and are being conveyed to Alice Springs Hospital. A further 11 people are reported to have minor injuries and will all be assessed at the Alice Springs Hospital.

“The Stuart Highway was blocked completely and the north bound lane was reopened at about 4:45pm. Please continue to obey all traffic direction in place.”
