A 15-year-old male will appear in court today in relation to an alleged sexual assault.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said the youth allegedly unlawfully entered a residence in Eastside at around 2:50am 11 June.

“A 22-year-old woman awoke to the offender allegedly attempting to sexually assault her. The offender fled the residence and was arrested by Police a short time later.

“He was charged with attempt sexual intercourse without consent, indecent assault, aggravated enter dwelling with intent and damage to property. He was remanded in custody."
