A 35-year-old man will appear in Alice Springs Magistrates Court this morning in relation to the unlawful entry and arson of a residence in East Side last month.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said it is alleged the offender unlawfully entered the residence at around 12:30am 27 February.

“Police also allege the man stole a television set from inside the residence and set fire to curtains in the lounge room before fleeing the area.

“The man was arrested yesterday and charged with arson, unlawfully enter occupied dwelling, stealing and criminal damage.”
