Alcohol Seized - Alice Springs

Alice Springs Police have arrested a 37-year-old man in relation to the possession of alcohol in a restricted area.

Senior Sergeant Peter Dash said Police were conducting checks in Charles Creek Camp yesterday afternoon.

“During the checks Police located and seized two litres of liquor hidden inside a Toyota LandCruiser.

“The owner of the LandCruiser was arrested for possessing and taking liquor into an alcohol restricted area and had his vehicle seized. Police also located and seized eight deal bags of cannabis in a rubbish bin.”

The man has been bailed to appear in Alice Springs Magistrates Court on 11 June 2013.

“Police are actively working to keep everyone in our communities safe and will continue to target those people who have a disregard for the law and for the safety of other residents in town camps”, Senior Sergeant Dash said.
