A 37-year-old man will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today in relation to the alleged aggravated assault of 28-year-old man.

Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Board said the incident occurred at around 5:30pm on Wednesday 26 December on Victoria Drive in Gray.

“Two men aged 25 and 28 and a 28-year-old woman were walking along the road when they were approached by a man and woman in a car.

“The alleged offender has stopped the vehicle and has allegedly threatened the group before assaulting one of the men.”

The man was arrested yesterday by Serious Crime Squad Detectives and charged with making threats to kill, armed with an offensive weapon (x2) and aggravated assault.
