A 24-year-old man will appear in Alice Magistrates Court today charged with the aggravated assault of a 19-year-old woman.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said the offender allegedly assaulted the victim between 22 and 23 September.

Members from Strike Force Halberd arrested the man and charged him with:

Aggravated assault (x3)

Deprivation of liberty

Armed with an offensive weapon.
