Woman Charged with Supply Possess Cannabis Darwin

Northern Territory Police have charged a woman with the supply and possession of cannabis after the search of a vehicle turned up half an ounce of cannabis and $2750 in cash.

Superintendent Peter Schiller from Drug and Specialist Support said a Toyota Landcruiser Troop carrier was stopped at Casuarina and a search unveiled the cannabis and cash.

“The male driver accompanied Police to a home in Herbert where a further search found two pounds of cannabis, cannabis seeds, $750 in cash and items indicative of supply,” Superintendent Schiller said.

A 23 year-old woman at the house was arrested and taken to the Darwin Police Station, Superintendent Schiller said.

She was charged with:

Supply schedule two substance;

Possess schedule two substance – commercial quantity, and;

Possess schedule two substance (seeds).

She was bailed to appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on April 14.
