Woman arrested for Drug Offences - Alawa

Northern Investigation Section and Drug & Organised Crime Detectives have seized a commercial amount of cannabis after searching an Alawa house.

Detective Senior Constable Luke Hoolihan said multiple bags, weighing approximately 5 kilograms were allegedly located in a shed at the residence by Drug Detection Dog Nugget on Saturday.

“If these drugs were sold in the Darwin area they had the potential to raise at least $55,000. “ Detective Senior Constable Hoolihan said.

A 52 year old woman is to be summonsed to face court in relation to the possession of a commercial quantity of cannabis.

Police urge members of the public to continue to assist them in the fight against illicit substances in the NT.
