Two Charged with Property Offences

Police

A 21 year-old man and a 20 year-old woman have been charged with Possessing Stolen Property following a Police investigation.

Members from the Darwin Tactical Team arrested the pair on Tuesday after information led them to an address in Coconut Grove.

The pair came to the attention of Police after allegedly attempting to sell stolen items.

Members subsequently seized a quantity of power tools, fishing equipment and electronics.

Acting Assistant Commissioner Jamie Chalker said part of the recovered property, a Honda power inverter, had been identified as being stolen from Palmerston in March.

“A search warrant conducted at the home of the alleged offenders uncovered further items suspected of being stolen.

"A recovered Ipad stolen during an unlawful entry in Darwin back in July 2011 was also recovered."

Investigations are continuing and more charges are expected to be laid.
