Good Police work lead to a woman yesterday being charged with 10 offences after thousands of dollars in stolen jewellery and a shotgun were recovered.

Good Police work lead to a woman yesterday being charged with 10 offences after thousands of dollars in stolen jewellery and a shotgun were recovered.

Senior Constable Adam Donaldson said jewellery which was identified as being stolen during unlawful entries in the Northern Suburbs was found by member of the Casuarina Tactical Team at a second hand store.

“One of the items recovered, a south sea pearl valued at around $5,000, was recovered as was a number of other times stolen from a Ludmilla home on 4 January,” Senior Constable Donaldson said.

“A 26-year-old woman was yesterday charged with unlawful entry (x2), stealing (x2), receive benefit by deception (x2) and unlawfully damage property (x2) and was remanded in custody to appear in court on March 1.

“Other items that were found include a gold necklace, a handbag, keys, designer wallets and a mobile phone, laptop computers and an SLR digital camera.”

The shotgun was stolen from an Alawa home last week.

The total value of the recovered items was $13,220.

Investigations are continuing.
