Teen Escapee - Tennant Creek

Northern Territory Police are searching for a 16-year-old male who escaped from the Tennant Creek Police Station this afternoon.

Superintendent Craig Barrett of the Tennant Creek and Barkley Division said the teenager escaped from the station at about 3:45 pm.
 
“We currently have members conducting extensive patrols of the area in a effort to locate him. The teen was last seen on Udall Road.
 
“He is described as being of Aboriginal appearance with short dark hair and was last seen wearing a dark shirt with a collar and black and white checked shorts.

“We believe that he is not a danger to the community, however it is advised that he is not to be approached if sighted, and for Police to be contacted,” said Superintendent Barrett.
