NT Police Major Crime Squad are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a male yesterday, 02 August 2012.

The 39-year-old man from Berrimah died in Royal Darwin Hospital after being initially admitted at 8.30pm on 18 June 2012.

Detective Superintendent Scott Pollock said on 17 June 2012, Police responded to a report of a disturbance in Parap.

“Upon Police arrival in Parap, this male was taken into protective custody and released at 6am the following morning.

“Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding this disturbance which occurred at approximately 6.15pm on Parap Road near the Hingston Street intersection.

“Anyone with information is urged to contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.” Detective Superintendent Pollock said.

NT Police are investigating this matter on behalf of the Coroner.
