Stolen Vehicle – Alice Springs

Police

Police are urging Alice Springs residents to be on the look out for a stolen vehicle, taken from a resort in Desert Springs.

Senior Constable Tim Easthope from the Southern Investigations Section said unknown offenders forced entry into a room at a resort on Barrett Drive at around 1:15am on Friday 3 August.

“Offenders stole a number of items including a wallet, a mobile phone and a set of keys to a Ford Ranger, parked outside,” Senior Constable Easthope said.

“The vehicle contained extensive camping equipment, food, tools, spare tyres and extra fuel and in total, all items were valued at around $80,000.

“The 2011 Ford Ranger XL 4x4 is a silver crew cab utility with Victorian registration YPQ484. It is fitted with a distinctive custom made ARB canopy with a side vent and also has an ARB roof rack.”

Police urge anyone who may have seen the vehicle to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
