A 37 year-old man has been arrested over an alleged ‘goods for drugs’ racket.
Southern Investigation Section Detectives have recovered a significant amount of stolen property that was uncovered during a search warrant executed at a Gillen property yesterday.
Detective Senior Sergeant Travis Wurst said the goods included high value or easily transported items.
“49 items suspected of being stolen property were recovered including bicycles, computer gear and gaming consoles, jewellery, cameras and even flat screen televisions. We hope to reunite these items with their owners in the near future.”
Detective Senior Sergeant Wurst said 10 grams of cannabis was also seized during the search.
The man is facing 21 charges of unlawfully possess property and has been bailed to appear on the 17th of July.
