Stabbing Arrest Darwin

A 40-year-old woman will appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court this morning, charged over the stabbing of her 45-year-old partner.

The man was stabbed in the neck on Mitchell Street just after 7pm on Monday night and the offender fled the scene.

“Fortunately the injury inflicted, missed major arteries and veins and the wound was not life threatening.” Said Sergeant Mark Bland.

“An observant Police Officer yesterday noticed the alleged offender at a bus stop on the Stuart Highway in Parap and she was immediately arrested.” Said Sgt Bland.

The 40-year-old woman has been charged with Aggravated Assault and will appear in court this morning.
