Members of the public are being advised to adhere to warning signs preventing access to a Northern Territory Police and Australian Defence Force training area.
The parcel of land opposite Robinson Barracks is off-limits to the general public.
Police and the ADF use the land as a training ground and the public risk injury or prosecution if they enter the area.
Senior Sergeant Warren Jackson said the old quarry site is becoming more popular as a recreational area even though there are fences and signs warning people the area is gazetted Australian Defence Force land.
“Anti-social behaviour including vandalism and illegal dumping is on the increase and Police will be taking a more active stance regarding trespassing in the area.”
