An alleged accomplice in the reported abduction of Monique Edmondson is now in Police custody, assisting with their enquiries.

Commander Richard Bryson said that Police were confident they were ‘closing the net’ on alleged abductor Joshua Walsh, and applauded the support of the public in the search for Monique.

“The safety of Monique remains our primary concern.  Our focus is on locating Monique and bringing her to safety and to apprehend Joshua Walsh without incident.

“Major Crime Taskforce Sandstorm remains fully resourced in an attempt to locate Monique Edmondson and alleged offender, Joshua Walsh.

“The public are reminded that alleged offender, Joshua Walsh is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached under any circumstances,” said Commander Bryson.

“If anyone has information with regards to the whereabouts of Joshua Walsh, they should contact Police immediately on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000”

Anyone with any information to assist Taskforce Sandstorm is urged to contact Police immediately on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.

If information received through Crime Stoppers results in an arrest, you may be eligible for a reward.

While this investigation remains ongoing, there will be no further details released at this time.
